Recently we witnessed the EARTH HOUR & we are constantly being said to save energy to meet the future energy crisis...
So here's a initiative taken by heapmedia to change the colour of the search engine BLACKLE to BLACK(probably you must have guessed by the name!!) whose searches are powered by GOOGLE...
Researchers have proved that a given monitor requires more power to display a white (or light) screen than a black (or dark) screen."
So make blackle as your default webpage!! This way every time you load your Internet browser you will save a little bit of energy. Remember every bit counts!!
At time of writing of this post BLACKLE had saved 1,160,243.386 Watt hours!!!
